Plug-Ins are code patches that enhance your browser.
Normally they address sound and video.
The Adobe plug-in that allows reading of a PDF file is a "must-have" for technical types.
Microsoft plug-ins work diffrently than do Netscape plug-ins.
Microsoft uses Active-X controls.
Removing a plug-in is more difficult than adding one !!!
Take drastic action.
While installing a third hard drive, I wiped out everything on the first drive,
forcing me to reinstall all of my applications from scratch.
This did get rid of all those plug-ins.
This is NOT the recommended procedure.
