I am using 64 bit code so my installation has many problems with 32 bit code.
Microsoft has made every effort to see that legacy code can be run under Windows Vista.
Example #1 WS_FTP95 LE This code was written for Windows 95. I felt it was a good example of how flexable Vista 32 is. |
- Extract the code from the zip file using the "unzip only" choice. The expanded code will be in the folder called c:\unzipped\wsftple.
- Navigate to c:\unzipped\wsftple folder. Right click on the file called "INST32" and select Run as administrator.
- Follow the steps normally followed for the install process.
- WS_FTP95 LE will be successfuly installed and added to your Start > Programs menu.

| Example #2 Patching Internet Explorer Java |

- To Correct this Run the following Patch code. Java Patch
|
Internet Explorer 64 bit With Vista 64 bit there are actully two versions of Internet Explorer |
- While the 32 bit version will allow Java patching the 64 bit version will not allow this.
- I am continuing to address this problem.
|
| Running Vista on a Pentium Four |
- I was able to install and benchmark Windows Vista 32 on a p4 system.
- It ran quite well. Even the Ultimate Edition ran well on my Tyan Tomcat.
- System is a p4 3.4 GHz with 1 Gig of RAM memory.
