Not all software can be made to work well under Windows Vista.

In most cases using the compatability wizzard can help.
There are programs that simply can not be fixed.
If you have problems with a restored Ghost image
  1. Boot your system using a Windows RC-1 DVD.
  2. At the language screen select Next.
  3. At the next screen select Repair Your System.
  4. Write the changes.
  5. Reboot the system.

  • Modifications to Internet Explorer 7+
    1. Internet Explorer 7 was patched with JavaFix
    2. Trillian was installed.
    3. Netscape 8 was installed. This browser has become my prefered browser with Windows Vista.
    4. Ghost 2003 image was saved.
    Office XP and Other CD Installs
    1. Microsoft Office XP was installed. No problems were encountered
    2. Adobe Photoshop 6.0 was installed.
    3. MacroMedia HomeSite 5.0 was installed. Adjust compatibility to be Windows 2000 and run as admin. This can be done using the new compatibility wizard.
    Utilities
    1. ACDSee, adobeReader 6, Atomic Clock, FTP, openCube, winWash 6, WinZip 8 were next installed. One of these (FTP by ipswitch) used the compatibility type of install.
    2. A Ghost 2003 image was then saved.
    1-Click DVD 1-Click is my favorite DVD ripper. It can not rip without a decoder.

  • The following applications expire and so they were installed last. I found a number of SpyWare cookies.
    1. Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 14 combines award-winning antivirus security and a personal firewall.
    2. Graywear is a new term to me.
